Cut and Fill Rod / Staff – Bear Scientific Genno Rod I
for Laser Levels and Receivers
Accurate and simple to use, the Genno Rod I is ideally used in conjunction with line or rotating lasers. When the cut and fill rod is moved around the site, differences in ground height can be easily determined by reading directly off the rod. No calculations are required.
Working with any laser detector and clamp, the height readings are read directly off the rod. Height readings are in centimetres with millimetre graduations .
Colour coded Cut and fill sections mean less mistakes when making multiple readings.
Comes with universal laser adapter (shown in picture) – simply clamp laser receiver to adapter and slide to desired position to take a reading

How to use a cut and fill rod ( Detailed instructions ):
STEP 1 Set laser level up and turn laser on.
STEP 2 Attach laser receiver to the orange collar andturn receiver on.
STEP 3 Position the orange collar with the top edge atthe 0 height on the rod. Use the black lever tolock in to this position.
STEP 4 Get to a position where the ground is at theheight you want to level to.
STEP 5 Using the black locking knob on the rear of therod, extend the lower telescopic section out untilthe base is touching the ground and the laserreceiver is reading on-level, then lock theextension in to place.
STEP 6 As you move around the site, unclamp theorange collar and slide it up and down the roduntil the laser receiver reads level. You can nowread the height off the top edge of the collar.
STEP 7 When the reading is in the RED section thefigures indicate how much you need to FILL toreach the desired level. When the reading is inthe WHITE section the figures indicate howmuch you need to CUT to reach the desiredlevel.
