Height Limiting Systems
Simple, accurate, cost effective height limiting systems. The height limiter is designed to protect workers from overhead danger when operating Excavators in restricted conditions; it is often difficult for the operator to judge the actual height of the machine or position of the booms from the cab.
This can result in a collision with roofs, walls, bridges, gantries or overhead wires, in many cases causing extensive damage to the machine, property and infrastruture.
Having the ability to monitor and control the operating height of multi-boom equipment in dangerous and tight locations is valuable for safety on jobs sites.
How It Works
The machine operator is able to define a pre-set limit of machines boom on the height limiter operator station, preventing movement of the boom outside of the pre-set limit. This stops machines from having the ability to hit obstacles and cause potential incidents on site.
Saftey
A Height Limiting System’s primary speciality is for jobs such as Tunneling, Road Side Works, Under Power Lines or around other dangerous sites where incidents may occur or public saftey may be hindered.
Slew Limiting Systems
Slew and height limiting technology for excavators and cranes – keep everyone safe on site.
Set safe working zones for cranes and excavators this innovative solution prevents the machine moving outside of the safe working area, making it ideal for working under powerlines, above pipework, near traffic, under bridges, in tunnels or other restricted spaces.
How It Works
The Slew Limiter allows the machine operator to quickly and easily set left and right slew limits from the operator station, and then restricts the machine to working within the permitted slew sector.
As the left or right slew limit is reached a hydraulic solenoid valve is released to cut off the relevant slew hydraulic service, and therefore prevent the machine from entering the exclusion zone. Slew operation in the opposite direction, back into the ‘safe’ zone, is still permitted.
Saftey
The Slew Limiter system is intended for use on excavators and cranes in the construction and utility maintenance industries where machines are restricted to working in confined spaces and there is a requirement to limit the slew movement of the machine. This allows for safe work to be maintained around the general public.
